The folk or traditional West African kora music is known for many, many generations. Most start with a one-man band or a family band. The lyrics are more oriented to old time history, family, and lineage. The kora instrument has 21 strings strung on a long neck with large gourd body surrounded by a beaded leather strap supporting a pair of nylon cords.
This band has two seated kora players and four women singers.
