Jumping rope is a game in many, many cultures. Growing up in Africa, I saw it at school, in the streets, and at home. Every child, boy or girl, likes the game. In some parts of the world, it is a sport.
Here is a young girl jumping rope, but spiritually, I go beyond the game. In the context of life in general, I think about my daughters living at my home in Africa, thinking about how much I miss them, and how much they miss me, the rope and its motion represent a theme of life. This young girl represents any teenager.
My wish for my daughters, and all the youth worldwide, is to create their own balance and do the best they can in life, even knowing no one is perfect.
