The Tree Bark Series

Originally drawn with color ballpoint pen, my inspiration for this series of images comes from how pieces of tree bark lay together as in The Couple and in The Two Sisters who have their arms around each other, and how tree branches can snap and break leaving a jagged edge as in the hair and braids of the women in these drawings.
